City Park Day is Coming! May 31, 5-8 pm, City Park Pavilion

City Park Day continues its tradition of free ice cream (by Sweet Cooie’s), live music by the Denver Municipal Band with new additions – face painting, caricatures and exhibits from institutions like the Museum of Nature and Science and the Denver Zoo, and neighborhood groups from around City Park.  To celebrate the roots of Denver’s crown jewel park, Victorian dress is encouraged. City Park visitors have watched with curiosity and mounting excitement as the outlines of City Park’s new Nature Play project has emerged and filled in with whimsical benches and sculptures, a 20 foot tall climeable Bighorn Sheep, a beaver dam, logs, rocks and rustic swing sets.
